Navarre Garden Club Projects and Goals

2005-2006 GOALS

The Navarre Garden Club is organized exclusively for educational and charitable purposes. It will engage in pursuits directed at educating the members and the general public in:

(1) gardening, floral design, horticulture, and landscape design
(2) protection of native plant, bird and butterfly life
(3) support and practice of conservation of natural resources and environmental awareness.
(4) community and local/civic beautification

The Club will offer financial support through the FFGC for Youth Environmental education, assist local deserving students in the above fields of endeavor through college scholarships, and support other community charitable organizations focusing on areas of significance to the above Club aims.

• Horticultural Workshops, Open to the Community, 4x/year

• Design Workshops, Open to the Community, 3x/year
• Junior Garden Club, monthly
• International Coastal Cleanup, annually in September
• Thanksgiving Centerpiece Workshop, annually in November
• Light Up You Life, annually in December
• Arbor Day Celebrations, annually in January
• Mardi Gras Float and Parade, annually in February
• Sweetheart’s Luncheon, annually in February
• Spring Fling Salad Tasting Luncheon, annually in April
• Great American Cleanup, annually in April
• Scholarships for PJC and Navarre High School stdents

• Flower Show, annually in June

• Monthly Horticultural Workshops for members at members' home
• Home and Garden, Flowers to Fleas held in conjunction with the Santa Rosa County Beaches to Woodland tour at Coast Encounters in Navarre Park, October 15, 2005
