November 21 • 4th Annual Thanksgiving Centerpiece Workshop. Meet at the Navarre Community Center (near the Post Office) on Nov 21st (Monday before Thanksgiving) and make floral arrangements for our own use and also make small bouquets for the food trays at Gulf Breeze Hospital and cafeteria tables at the Bay Breeze Nursing and Retirement Center. The cost of attending this workshop is $15.00. You bring your own centerpiece container and some foliage from your yard (if you have it). You will leave having made the centerpieces we will be donating as well as a centerpiece for your own dinner table! Last year's event. November 28 • Club Members Only - Last date to signup for our Club Christmas Party .. Gonna be G R E A T, don't miss it!! November 28 • Club Members Only -- 1 to 4PM (if it lasts this long) at the Navarre Community Center. Garden Center Investigating/Planning Committee. Any Club Member who is interested in serving on this committee is invited to be there. This invitation is also extended to the individuals who were on this committee when it first met in March 2005. A Christmas Celebration Get-Together will follow. Navarre Garden Club will celebrate Florida Arbor Day by planting a tree in our community. Shirley will provide more information in our January meeting. January 20 • Package baby trees at IP .. packing from 9AM to around noon in the "greenhouse" .. packers may have their choices of trees January 21 • Arbor Day Celebration .. Free Tree Giveaway for the Community at Navarre High School ... We need lots of help with this valuable Community Service event for our Club. -- Click here for Information on growing your free trees!! January 23 • Mid-year Budget review, Financial Committee, Please let Lynn know 2 weeks in advance if you will be attending so she can get you a copy of the Financial Policies to review in advance of the meeting. This meeting will be held at the Navarre Library front meeting room from 9 AM to Noon. January 31 • Executive Board Meeting - 9:00 a.m. February 3 • Mardi Gras Parade planning meeting at Lynn's February 7 • Open House -- bring a friend to our Club Meeting, Program: Floral Design, Wilma Stortz and Cathi Herd - Pick Nominating committee February 9 • Work day at "Alice's" February 9 • 2 PM, make bows at Ginger's February 13 • Sweetheart’s Luncheon Navarre Community Center, 11:30 a.m. for all members, potluck luncheon. We honor our members who do not have a “sweetheart” in their lives either through death or divorce. (And the rest of us too!!) The April Meeting is when the budget for next year is drafted, new Committee Chairs are identified, and at this meeting the Financial Controls document needs to be finalized. Field Trip to NDI (Natural Decorations, Inc.), The Cracked Pot. Taken from their brochure: "...NDI, The Cracked Pot, a true manufacturer's outlet we operate ourselves." April 22 • The Great American Cleanup -- This is a NationWide community event. Meet at 8:00 a.m. Wear sunscreen, comfortable shoes, and bring gloves and water. The Great American Clean Up is mainland. We meet, register, pick up supplies, pick up debris, and return bags to dumpster. If you have an area that you would like to pick up, you can do that. Otherwise, we will pick up bad areas on Hwy 98, Hwy 87, and any other streets that are really bad. April 25 • Executive Board Meeting - 9:00 a.m. April 27, 28, & 29 • Club Flower Show at Navarre Library - "Celebrate Spring", A Small Standard Flower Show. Open to the Public. Please see brochure for all information. Come, exhibit and/or view beautiful plants and arrangements!!
