(underlined words are internet or email links) FLORAL DESIGN STUDIES Course 6 class Basic series $60.00 3 class Advanced series $45.00 The Navarre Garden Club, Inc. is sponsoring a Floral Design Studies Course that is certified by the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. (FFGC). A terrific description of this course is available on the FFGC web site, click here to check it out. At the completion of the Floral Design Studies Courses, you will have learned the Elements and Principles of design. You will have gained knowledge and confidence to enjoy making beautiful designs from traditional ones to far out abstract ones for your own home or to give to friends, neighbors and relatives. You will know how to condition your flowers and greenery to make them last longer; how to appreciate "unusual" containers found at garage sales, flea markets, and dollar stores. You will also learn what plants to grow in your yard to enhance your new passion -- a burning passion that up to this time may have been dormant. Awaken a "new" you by registering and committing to all nine classes. If after completing all nine classes, you desire a challenge and enjoy competition, you will be eligible to enter a floral design in our upcoming Flower Show on March 30, 31 and April 1, 2006 at Navarre Library, but this is strictly voluntary These classes will be taught by FFGC state-certified Floral Design Instructors who are also nationally-accredited Flower Show Judges. The cost of attending six classes in the Basic Course is only $60.00 (that’s only $10.00 per class and everyone takes home a beautiful floral design that they have created themselves). The Advanced Course is $45.00 for three classes. Every student who attends all six classes of the Basic Course and all three classes of the Advanced Course will receive a Certificate of Achievement for each course from FFGC. All of these classes will be held at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church in Navarre, FL. Basic Course class dates: Dec 3 and 17, 2005; January 7 and 28, February 18 and 25, 2006 Advanced Course class dates: March 4, 18, and 25, 2006 NOTE 11/25/05 Update ... Only 6 slots left. Contact us today and you may still be able to attend! Each class begins at 9:00 a.m. and is over by 2:30 p.m. Students must register by November 21, 2005, by sending a check for $60.00 for the Basic Course made out to the Navarre Garden Club, Inc. and mailed to P.O. Box 5606, Navarre, FL 32566. Registration for the Advanced Course can be paid at the same time but no later than February 21, 2006. There will be a delicious lunch provided at each class for a minimal cost of $5.00 or students may bring their lunch. Direct any questions to Lynn Wilson, Treasurer via email or call her at 380-3881.
