March Meeting

Our guest speaker Mazie Glover Showed us some of her unusual and creative Miniature Designs

Mazie served the Gulf Area Garden Club as President and Treasurer. She served on the FFGC State Board as Parks, Memorial Garden Pilgrimage, Scenic Route Chairman. She’s also served as Chairman of 1990 & 1994 State Conventions. She is a Master Flower Show Judge, been Flower Show Judges Council District I Director, and has served as Treasurer. She is a life member of both FFGC and National Garden Clubs, Inc., and is in FFGC’s Hall of Fame.

 

Mazie's design are derived from all sorts of plants, seeds, dried plant items and non plant items .... including roses made from eye brow pencil shavings ... very creative!!

Our V.P. Shirley gave Mazie one of our Club coffee mugs with a nice small bouquet as a little thank you for her efforts.

 

Here's our trophy for 2nd place from the Mardi Gras Parade ... it will be on display at the Navarre Library

 

As always our ladies made us great snacks ... they're almost all gone!!

 

Our library received a new book - "Stormscaping, Landscaping to Minimize Wind Damage in Florida"

Our plant of the month this month was tulip ... Jim our Horticulture Chairman gave us lots of good info on these beauties
